My name is Joseph Reichert. This page is the front door of my enterprise, Joseph Reichert, Inc. (d/b/a JRI Gunmaker).
I established this company to support those craftsmen who are dedicated to the design, making and testing of guns and ammunition. To accomplish this task, I collaborate with knowledgeable consultants in machine tool technology, chemistry, materials sciences and other fields. I seek out sources of information which provide specific instruction on the subject of small arms fabrication, and experiment with promising techniques which facilitate the manufacture of guns and related articles. The results of my investigations are published through this website. Some of this information is offered for sale, and other portions are downloadable without charge.
Gunsmithing is an honored trade of great antiquity, but this site is not primarily concerned with gunsmithing. Rather, it focuses on the activities of the gun designer and gunmaker. It is a distribution point for technology which supports the manufacture of barrels, receivers, trigger mechanisms, cartridge cases, primers, propellants, projectiles, and all efforts related to the fabrication of those articles.
